I have a nice chaotic weekend with my family, and when I say chaotic what I meant was my family often gets hyperactive when we're in the mall and since it's a payday weekend and not to mention a long weekend, we stayed at the mall for almost the whole day. Well, don't worry I just bought a few things that I need to bring for my friends whom I'll be meeting in Singapore next week.

What I love about my weekend was taking care of my favorite nephew.

This is him, the current love of my life in his bike. Everyone seems to take a second glance on him because he is just so adorable, cuddly and charming. He smiles with everyone and he is so cute. We just stroll around the mall and it's wonderful to be with him and to spend time with my family.

Have a great week ahead!

Don’t you just hate those annoying phone calls that disrupt your work and no matter how firm you are in saying you’re not interested to whatever they’re selling they just keep on calling. How about those prank callers, who just have nothing to do but upset you. I hate these callers but unfortunately I get several of these and I sometimes wish that I could trace them up and banned them from ever calling me again.

Now, I probably can by reverse phone lookup service by TraceNumber.com it’s a remarkable service that can look up the owner’s name and address of any unknown phone number, you can even look up for missed calls from unknown phone numbers that appear on your phone bill. Isn’t that great? What’s more amazing with this service is that looking up in the reverse phone directory is completely confidential and no one will alert anyone that you’re searching their numbers. Too bad this service is only available for telephone and even cell phone numbers in the US and Canada. But hey, at least they can do something to fight back those harassing phone calls. It’s truly a helpful and incredible service.

I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I last posted here. I guess having too many blogs can have a downside after all and you tend to neglect some blogs without realizing it. Anyway, last week was a bit chaotic for me. I spent most of my time going to the hospital for my routine check-up and I also had my appointment with my ophthalmologist and it seems that my right eye is getting better, although I am still highly sensitive to sun rays and my vision is still a blur, I guess it’s just a matter of time before I’ll have a perfect vision again. I also received a very bad news from my laboratory results and my rheumatologist told me that my kidneys are once again being attacked by lupus and it’s functioning by merely fifty percent. The news really made me sad, after everything I’ve been doing to get better it seems I am getting worse than ever. I was prescribed new medicines and a higher dose of steroids, so I guess I have to say goodbye to dieting again and depressing as it may sound I’ll be fat once again.

I’m really feeling sad about it and a bit worried too. But I have to remain strong and optimistic, and just keep on trusting God that He will not forsaken me.

Would you believe we’re half way through August and in no time, the BER months will be here and it’ll be Christmas again? How time flies by so fast and sometimes I feel it’s just running me over. Or is it just me?

My aunt bought an LCD Flat TV yesterday and when we’re trying to connect it to their cable we were a bit surprised to find out that the reception was poor, so we contacted the cable company and they told my cousin that the cable company still uses analog interfaces and it won’t work well with new digital TVs, we were advised to buy HDMI or high definition multimedia interface to connect with cable. My cousin will be buying one today and hopefully he could set up the home theater very soon.

When I was diagnosed with lupus, I started my fascination with butterflies. I started collecting stuff that has butterflies with it and even my room is filled with it. My friends are starting to give me gifts that have butterfly and my collection is really growing. One of my favorite collection is my silver butterfly earring that I wear most of the time, isn’t amazing that you can actually have your very own medical jewelry that is specially designed with your illness or health condition. Its fashion in its best.

It’s been a while since I last feel good about myself and losing weight simply makes me feel wonderful. For most of my life I have struggled with fat and I’ve always been on the heavy side. I tried dieting, exercising and even weight loss products but to no avail. My dilemma even got worse when I took steroids for my lupus and I thought I just need to be comfortable with my body which I did but now after losing a lot of weight, I just can’t help but smile. I love the way I look.

When my eyes we’re infected with herpes zoster just a few weeks ago, my right really hurt because of the swelling and I thought when the blisters vanished my eye will have its vision back but unfortunately it didn’t. Yesterday, I had my eye check up and the optometrist found out that my right cornea are swelling, he prescribed some eye drops and hopefully after a week I’ll have my clear vision back. It’s quite amazing how technology can easily correct vision nowadays like Lasik the most popular procedure today. It’s vital to take care of our eyes and sometimes I just tend to take it for granted.

My adorable and cuddly nephew loves the outdoor and he probably can’t wait to walk on his own but for now he has to be in his pushchair. I don’t mind pushing him in his chair every time we stroll around the mall. He’s just too cute and everyone will often stare at him and my cousin and I are too proud because we can see the admiration in their eyes. Some people will even mistakenly think that my nephew is a commercial model or something, I guess with his beautiful skin and cuddliness he has the making of a star someday.

I am probably spoiling him and I can’t really deny that among my other nephews and nieces he is my favorite and can you really blame me. His mother, my cousin is also my best friend and we’re really close every since we were kids and it’s only natural that I’m closer to his son among everyone else.

I just love babies and I can’t wait to have my own child someday (if God allows) and maybe I’ll go overboard shopping for him. Don’t you find babies stuff really nice these days, who would’ve thought baby pushchairs, pram and a lot more baby accessories can be so beautiful.

There’s a song that’s been lingering in my head right now. It’s a song I know by heart, a song that was once defined my life and sadly, I think I’m going to sing it over again...

There’s just this someone that I really love from long time ago, someone who used to be a big part of my life and someone I thought I have learned to let go. But seeing him again after almost a year brought back all those feelings that I thought I have forgotten. I thought I had moved on, after all that is what we said we’d do after we broke up. I honestly thought I have moved on but I guess I’m wrong.

It was an unexpected but anticipated meeting, we didn’t even bothered to say hello but our eyes said everything we want to say... I would like to believe he missed me too, the way that I do. And I know it’s wrong to still love him, now that I am with somebody else but what can I do. I cannot really tell my heart to stop beating for someone even if that someone does not feel the same way anymore.

I just can’t make you love me back...

My friends and I love to hang out. Despite our busy schedule we always make it a point to have Friday nights to ourselves, either we watch movies or have dinner but we usually end the night having our favorite Starbucks coffee and we just spend the night talking and updating what’s going on with our lives. I am blessed to have good friends that can stand the test of time and I just consider them one of my finest treasures.

It’s been seven years since I was first diagnosed with Lupus. It was during these months seven years ago when I started my battle with the chronic illness that has changed my life. I was not equipped then, I didn’t have a health card, not even insurance so my parents shouldered everything. When I got better, I made sure that I have everything I need just in case of emergency. I’m thinking of getting term life insurance for my entire family, and I’m just waiting for a quote so I can compare prices and benefits.
