If It's Not Meant To Be

Why is it always hard to forget someone we love maybe because deep within us that's the last thing we would ever want to do. It's easy to say it's all over but its always difficult to let go of someone so precious to us. But reality bites, there are certain people that are truly not meant to stay with us forever. When someone becomes a part of us, that person takes a piece of our heart and when the time comes that he has to go, he leaves a void within us that is never easy to fill. I guess, that's the reason why it always brings us great pain every time we put an end to a relationship. I once read that we cannot finish a book without closing its chapters, if you want to go on, then you have to leave the past as you turn the pages of life. I know its easier said than done and letting go of someone is such a sad event but life is like a game, sometimes we just missed the target and we lose, and yes it does hurt but that doesn't mean we have to give up. We just need the strength to go on.

After a several heartbreaks, I have learned that if its not meant to be then we just have to accept it and let go of those could've beens. We should not let heartaches imprisoned us from the past and we must keep our hopes up that one day love will still find its way in us. Life doesn't end where our heartaches begin, it only ends when we give up on ourselves and let fear hinder us from falling in love again.

It is always easy to say we are over that person but deep inside we are still hurting and embracing the past moments. How i wish that we can just tell our heart and mine to say stop anytime we want. Letting go is always the hardest thing that we need to do. But surely we just need enough time only we don't know how long it will takes us to let go. hayyy...pag-ibig.hehehehee..

I agree with your thoughts on your feelings. Time heals everything. It takes time to heal a deep wound, but in due time it will eventually heal. You just have to trust the Lord that He has somebody special in store for you. Didn't He promised in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Love hurts and is also one of the greatest rewards of two joining together. I myself have been broken up just 2.5 months with my gf. We were together for 5 years and the void I am experiencing in my life is consuming me...not good, but then again I keep making contact against her wishes. She broke it off with me and had some valid reasons I cannot dispute. Still knowing my mistakes have been one to many in the making and that she is now resolved to go on without me has brought me a great deal of regret and sorrow. How do I let go..friends say give it time. Ah forsoothe life is difficult.
