One of the latest crazes in the health and wellness industry is "superfruit" juices. It can be confusing to understand what they are and what they contain. Here are a few of the popular super fruit juices on the market and a little about them.

Goji

Goji juice is made from the goji berry, the fruit of the lycium barbarum plant. Goji has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Goji juice was largely brought to market by FreeLife International.

Mangosteen Juice

Mangosteen Juice is made from the mangosteen fruit, as its name suggests. Mangosteen fruit contains xanthones, a special class of antioxidants.

Noni

Noni juice is probably the oldest and best known super fruit juice. It comes largely from Hawaii and the Tahitian islands. Noni contains antioxidants and phytonutrients.

Hi Emmy Rose,
For people interested in superfruits but afraid of the harsh taste of the 100% juices sold at health food stores, might I recommend they visit the refrigerated section in the produce aisle at any of the larger HEBs? You'll find a superfruit juice blended with other exotic juices that tastes great but has therapeutic doses of acai, noni, goji or mangosteen. They have fun names that tell exactly what they're supposed to do - Beauty Boost, Happy Boost, Inner Boost and YOuth Boost - so there's no guessing which superfruit you want or need. You can learn more by visiting the company's website at www.genesisboost.com. All the best!
