It's been two weeks since my Boracay Escapade and I still can't get over it. Here are some more pictures from that wonderful experience.

Just landed at Caticlan Airport via Asian Spirit

We're off to the island of Boracay

Our fabulous accommodation at Boracay Regency Beach Resort
located at Station 2

I'm not an early riser and it's not often that I catch a wonderful glimpse of sunrise, that's why I so love this sunrise shot by the famous grotto

Words are not enough to express how enjoyable that experience was. Boracay is not really my favorite place, I even find it too crowded and overly commercialized but once you're there you just can't help but fall in love with the place.

To let go does not mean to stop caring,
it means I can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off,
it's the realization I can't control another.
To let go is not to enable,
but allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means
the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try to change or blame another,
it's to make the most of myself.
To let go is not to care for,
but to care about.
To let go is not to fix,
but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To let go is not to be protective,
it's to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny,
but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.

I still can’t believe it’s the last day of April and summer is about to be over real soon. The heat is still terrible but I notice some cooler afternoons already and the other day, the rain suddenly poured all over the metro. What I love about the summer is that school is out and my nieces and nephews are able to spend a lot of time with us. We usually go swimming, play badminton and my cousin recently bought a beer pong for all of us. It’s a wonderful time to do all the things you love and spend more time with the ones you love.

I love blogging. Although there are times that I feel exhausted by it or I’m simply not in the mood to blog about anything, I still love blogging. I can give you a lot of reasons why I am hooked in blogging and one of them is meeting and discovering some interesting people around the internet whom you have never met yet somehow with their blogs you can interact with them, get to know them by reading their posts and it is always wonderful to read about the inner thoughts of other people. There are times in our lives that we get too emotional with a lot of stuff and we tend to feel we are all alone in our struggles but reading other blogs makes you realize you are not alone in this world. I particularly like to read about mom’s blog, I am not yet a mom but reading about the fun experiences of being a mom just makes me want to be a mom someday. I had a good read about it today yummy baby, stop by her sometime and read about a 10month-old thoughts along with her Mamee.

I had fun-filled weekend with celebrating the 4th birthday of my god daughter. It's always fun to be with kids and playing their games at the party is always something to look forward to.

The birthday girl with her mom...

The kids and the adults just adored this lovable mascot, Jollibee

Showing off our face paintings, very nice and creative.

Have a great week to all of you!

Your life deserves better than a half-hearted effort. Meet your goals with a weak handshake and they’ll soon be waving you goodbye. Since you probably don’t want to look back on a life full of “almost made it” memories, it’s time for total commitment. Leave it all on the field, don’t hold anything back. Is there anything more satisfying than pouring out your entire being, straddling the cliff, reaching your total limit, then looking up and realizing that oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-believe-I-really-did-it? And is there anything more tragic than failing and realizing you could have done more? If you feel “out” of your current life, that’s okay. Make your first goal to build a life that you can get “in”-to. Then don’t look back. Make every day count and live purposefully, live energetically, live completely.

If only money grows on trees then cash wouldn’t be a burden for everyone. We could just easily just reach out our hand to our money tree and get the cash we badly needed. But the thing is, money does not grow on trees, it is something we earn from all our hard work. But sometimes no matter how we work hard we just couldn’t measure up to the high demand of living, especially nowadays where the prices of most basic commodities are all rising. There’s a financial crisis everywhere and with the impending food shortage, there’s just a lot of financial burden that’s been happening. You really need to stretch out your budget and save. Buy only the things you need and save the rest for the rainy days. But what if emergency strikes and one of your family needs medical attention and you desperately need cash right now and your next pay check is still far ahead. It’s a good thing you can apply for cash advance payday loan and help you get through that immediate need. I know how a burden being sick and having shortage with money, that is why payday loans are helpful to help you survive that crisis until you can back on your feet again.

Yesterday, I went to my lovely god daughter’s birthday and I met with some friends from college that I have not seen since graduation. Most of them are married now with kids but there are still a lot of single ones that’s why I didn’t feel bad. But one of them is getting married this year and I am once again a bridesmaid and as much as I want to turn it down, I really got no excuse.

The other bridesmaids were discussing on what to give her for the shower party we’re organizing and we chose to be a little naughty and decided to give her corsets just to make our friend sexier on her wedding day.

Our house is currently a mess. We are renovating and redecorating our house. Every five years we try to renovate our house to fix anything that needs to be repaired and maintain the nice look of our house. My mom usually chooses the summer to do all these fixings so that she can monitor the workers and see for herself all the things she wanted to do. She takes care of everything but I get to choose the colors of the paint and I’m not sure if we need any new furniture, I think I won’t be buying anything this year just to save a couple of bucks. I do love the renovation, redecorating and all but what I hate is being displaced and the mess that’s all around me, not to mention the noise its creating all over the house. But I think I’ll be more patient for another week and I’ll be having some normality again in the house. I consider our house my haven, it’s not only a place of comfort but also it brings me a sense of security and I hate leaving the house for so long whenever we travel and next week we’ll all be leaving again for another trip. That is why it’s important to have homeowner insurance just to give you a peace of mind wherever you are.

I love being single. It gives me the freedom to do almost everything I want. I can go wherever I please, I don’t have to worry about anyone else but me. For most of the time, I like that but sometimes being single can also be a drag and a bit lonely. I miss being able to share my day with somebody else, I miss someone who cares about me and I miss just being with someone. I maybe single, unattached but my heart is very much taken. I am silently in love with someone who I’m not supposed to be in love with. I’ve been down this road before and I know it’s not easy but what can I possibly do when this stubborn heart of mine just can’t stop loving you.

If only I can dream of the winning lottery numbers then I’ll be one of the luckiest people around. My late grandfather always bet on his lottery numbers because he has faith that those numbers are the winning lottery number and it will make him win big. Well, he was not a dedicated better so I guess he’s not destined to win big.

My mom went to a wedding yesterday. She was part of the principal sponsor and I just can’t help but brag about my mom. Ain’t she pretty? I honestly think she doesn’t look her age (she’s fifty eight) My mom is a picture of a survivor... a failed marriage, a daughter’s death, and taking care of a daughter who has a chronic illness (me) among other things. I just think she’s a fighter, her faith brings our family together and her loving care holds us closely to each other. I can never imagine life without her, I just love her so much. We may have our ups and downs, we may not see eye to eye on most things and we even fight every now & then but at the end of the day she’s my mom who makes everything easy for all of us. I love you mama!

My friend is leaving to work abroad and he’s selling everything in his computer shop. No one from his family can take over his shop, I think that’s too bad since it’s earning quite a lot. But he made up his mind to take his career on a new level and try out his luck in a foreign land. We are helping him sell his furniture, monitors, used cisco and everything else that are all in good shape. I think we won’t have a hard time disposing all that in time.

Are you striving for devenir riche (rich future)? Of course, each and everyone of us wants to earn big and there are a lot of ways to do that online. I am fascinated with silver and I would definitely want to have argent gratuity (free silver), knowing that it can be an investment for me in the future. I’m looking for argent facile sur le net (easy silver on the net) so that I can start earn some silver for my future investment.

I had a terrific time last weekend. After four years I was back again at the island paradise of Boracay, I’m amazed how the island changed and although Boracay is not really my favorite place for a get-away and I sometimes think it’s overrated, too crowded and commercialized but still I love Boracay. It’s a whole new adventure out there and the experience is simply fantastic.

On the way to the island...
A glimpse of paradise, a bit gloomy skies...

Our accommodation, meet my closest friends from college...

My best friend (the only body beautiful in our group and she's the only married one & currently seven weeks pregnant)

The famous sand castles built from the fine white sand of Boracay by the locals, mostly children...

My favorite experience, snorkeling at Crocodile Island. Imagine having those fishes so close and the reefs are so splendid.

and the most relaxing of all, sunset sailing... It's simply serenity at its best & the sunset blew me away...

I can go on and on but I guess I need to wrap this up. More pictures soon.

Have a nice week ahead!

Break Up Quotes

I know this quote by heart. I’ve read it a thousand times and probably wrote it a couple of times too, but do I really believe that saying? I’m not sure, all I know is that when you really love someone you sincerely want that person to be happy, even if his happiness means he has to say goodbye. You just have to believe that he’s not the one meant for you and somehow you will be able to find someone who would want to stay and make you feel happy.

Letting go is never easy. Watching the one you love walk away from your life can be devastating but don’t blame it on love, don’t be cynical about it just think as he walk away how much you wanted so much to be with the wrong person then imagine how beautiful it would be when the right one finally comes along.

My uncle is a big fan of golf and he also loves to play golf. But the thing is, he’s the only one in the family who enjoys golf and it’s difficult to find a golf country club where he could bring his own family for a vacation that has more amenities than golf, like the Branson golf where your family can enjoy a wide variety of activities.

I’m not used in wearing watches maybe that explains why I’m always late. But kidding aside, the reason I don’t wear a watch is because I’m allergic but given a chance I will be delighted to have this watch...

Chopard watches have a classic and elegant style. A sure must-have for the chic and sassy people out there who always want to keep track of time.

When I was away I tried my best to stay away from internet cafes and I have to drag myself away from the business center of the hotel so that I won’t have to check my emails and check on my blogs. I decided not to bring my laptop with me since I went there for a holiday and I need to leave my work behind. I think the unlimited wi-fi in my hotel was just a waste. I told myself I need to relax and enjoy my time there but still I can’t help but feel this way...

The Cast Away Blogger

I know my blog is only PR2 but still I'm worried and I miss blogging. But no regrets, I surely enjoyed my time without the internet.

My college best friend will be leaving back to Singapore in the next few days. She only came here for our summer Boracay escapade and she needs to go back to work and her life back to Singapore. I know, it’s not that far and we can always visit her anytime we want to but still it’s not easy for her to be alone there and she’s missing out all the fun we’re having here. We stay in touch most of the time, chatting on the internet and she usually gives us a call everytime the whole group meets up for Friday night out, so that she can somehow feel that she’s with us and she’s part of the fun. She uses prepaid phone card that usually last a long time, it gives her a chance to talk to everyone and even give out details on what’s happening in our lives. Being away can be depressing and it’s a good thing, technology can somehow bring us closer and we can communicate to each other fast and easy. It used to be expensive too but now you can talk and talk whenever you please, without worrying about paying so much. Technology found a way to bridge the connection and somehow make distance not so far away.

Scattered Clouds

33° C | 26° C

The temperature ain't that high but it is so hot. I was on my way to meet my friends for lunch and as soon as I stepped out of the office I just feel so hot, it's annoying and the temperature makes you feel exhausted and the forecast says that Manila will experience 37° C in the coming days, so I need to brace myself for hotter days to come. It is during this time that I wish I can be back in the island paradise where the heat can be tolerable.

I still have a hangover from my Boracay trip, nah don’t get me wrong I didn’t get wasted I just feel like I’m still in that island paradise. It seems five days was not enough to experience the beauty of Boracay. When I was there, it felt like I was lost in time and I was in a different place where I can do almost everything... I felt free. Although I had too many activities one of the things I enjoyed more was just lying on the sand and watching the sunrise and the sunset sailing was superb, it was so relaxing and it felt heavenly to be under those majestic skies.

I don’t really have the ideal beach body but that didn’t stop me from showing some skin during my Boracay escapade since I’ve been taking steroids for the past six years it’s only expected that I’m on the chubby side but the past few weeks I’ve been slowing down on my diet and exercising more and as much as I want to take a safe diet pills to help me lose some weight, I rather not. Beauty after all, is only skin deep.

I had a marvelous time in Boracay and it was surely an escapade worth remembering. I had so much fun and although I’m still feeling exhausted and sleepy, I need to get back to work so that I can afford another holiday very soon. My friends and I enjoyed every moment in that paradise island and I was surprised how the island changed the last time I was there. I’m not too happy with the fact that Boracay was somehow exploited and over commercialized, and I hate the fact that some tourist especially the locals don’t care much about the beaches and they just leave trash all over. It’s also a shame that some foreign tourist got screwed by local crooks but anyway that’s just the other side of Boracay that no one seems to care. When I got home this morning, my mom told me that we should prepare for our US Visa interview in the next few days and if things turn out well we’ll be visiting our relatives in the US. Our first stop would be California where most of my relatives dwell and then I will be fulfilling my dream to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon and while we’re there we’ll be looking out for the best Las Vegas Hotel Deal that we can find to check in a Vegas Hotel to further explore the sin city and watch shows that my mom is dying to see. I just hope we can get a Las Vegas Hotel that is good enough for all of us. But first, I’m praying to do well in the visa interview, so wish us luck.

Aren’t babies the sweetest thing? Those cuddly and adorable little angels that can always put a smile on anyone’s face. I am very fond of babies, especially my nieces and nephews. I tend to spoil them a lot and I always love to shop baby gifts for them. Since I don’t have my own baby yet, I put my time and invest a lot of affection with my little angels as their most favorable aunt.

Another great career opportunity in the medical field training is being a sonography technician. It is commonly known as the ultrasonographer that operates on ultrasound machine that can help determine and diagnose a variety of medical conditions. A sonography tech is mostly needed for obstetrics, in viewing the fetus in the womb. This is another great medical career training you should consider and hurry up and enroll yourself in sonography schools.

If you’re planning to have a career in the medical field, I suggest you consider being a pharmacy technician I know it’s not a popular choice these days but there’s quite a high demand for pharmacy tech and you must take this opportunity to be the first to be trained and reap the rewards of this career. Pharmacy technician salary is suitable enough to sustain your lifestyle and support your family.

I had an extremely relaxing and fabulous weekend. My mom received a complimentary stay in a hotel in as a belated birthday gift and we took the opportunity to have a taste of the lifestyle of the rich and famous. I particularly enjoyed the lavish massage at this spa where I completely fell asleep, it felt so wonderful.

I did some people watching around the hotel, swim at the pool and dine at their fine restaurant. But mostly we spent our time here at our room where we just hang out and had a fun time talking....

Hope your weekend was as great as mine. Good night or good day wherever you are...

Have you ever been in a situation where you badly need cash right now but your next pay check is still days away? That’s a terrible situation especially if it’s an emergency and you desperately need to have that money right away. It’s a good thing there are easy payday loan that you can apply online and it’s so simple and stress-free. Now, you can simply transact your business online and directly apply for the loan you badly needed and it’s absolutely fast, simple and reliable. You can easily get your loan as fast as the processing time allows. Money can be quite difficult nowadays, and sometimes our budget is not enough anymore to meet the high demand of price increases. It can be such a pain thinking what to do and how to stretch your pay check just to pay up everything that needs to be paid, it’s stressful and with all those financial burden there’s really no money left for saving or for your emergency fund, now you can rely on online payday loans that is guaranteed to answer your problem.

Almost everyone who intends to get any kind of loans in the future will need a credit card so that you can have a credit history that banks and lending companies can refer whether to approve your loans or not. But if you have a bad credit history, you will have a hard time finding a company that can give you bad credit loans and bad credit credit cards, it’s a good thing BadCreditOffers.com offers you a second chance to redeem yourself and start over.

I consider myself blessed that I didn’t go through the awkward stage of having too many pimples even when I was a teen-ager. I hardly get pimples or acne even up to this date and I may not be too vain but every morning I just wash my face with facial wash, apply sun block and I don’t really use much make-up. At night, I always see to it that I clean my face before I sleep, just the same I wash my face with facial wash, apply moisturizing cream and that’s it. Not much of a regimen, right? But I do have my monthly facial with my dermatologist as part of my monthly relaxing treatment and it’s a good thing I can save a lot from acne treatments because I hardly have one.

One of the things I love in a hotel is the comfort of its bed. It’s such a beauty and really spacious, it also gives a soothing feeling once you lay your body on it. I just find it so relaxing. I think it’s not just the bed itself that gives comfort but also the beddings that they are using the fabric is so soft, you almost want to cuddle it. What I’m really looking for are adjustable beds that will suit my back, since I’ve been taking steroids for quite awhile now my bones are a bit brittle and I need a great support for my back. Well, I’m quite happy with my own bed back home it’s almost as nice as the one I have in our suite room.

I was roaming around the hotel today and decided to just stick around the lobby and watch as people pass me by. As a writer I tend to observe people silently and I notice this old woman carrying her dog, and I noticed that the dog has his own nanny and complete with all the pet accessories you can imagine. That must be one lucky dog and the owner probably lavish her beloved dog with all the pet supplies she can possibly get him. People watching can be interesting especially with someone who has nothing to do, like me who is just sitting around and savoring the ambiance I have right now.

Just a while ago I’m yaking and ranting about being an insignificant blogger and then I received this email...

Dear Emmyrose,

Our editors recently reviewed your blog and have given it an 8.0 score out of (10) in the Personal category of Blogged.com.

This is quite an achievement!

http://www.blogged.com/directory/personal-blogs

We evaluated your blog based on the following criteria: Frequency of Updates, Relevance of Content, Site Design, and Writing Style.

After carefully reviewing each of these criteria, your site was given its 8.0 score.

Well, it's nice to feel that somehow I'm not that insignificant after all and some actually think that my blog is:

Just Let Go at Blogged

I'm looking forward for a laid-back weekend with my mom and my brother. I can't help but be thankful that someone gave my mom a belated birthday gift to stay in this luxurious hotel and feel fabulous. Not to mention my wi-fi connection is absolutely free and I'm waiting for the complimentary buffet lunch to be served in a while. This is the life!

This is another long weekend and my mom received a luxurious gift of 3d/2n in a hotel in Manila and we’ll be spending this long weekend pampering ourselves and relax in a lavish hotel room. My family loves to travel and this summer we’ll be spending most of the time away from home and away from each other. My brother will be joining our church’s youth camp next week and my mom will attend several seminars and out of town trips for this month and I will be going away for my summer escapade next weekend too. It only means that our house will be empty since my mom is letting our housemaid stay at my cousin’s place for the time that we’re not at home. This is why we’re thinking of having some home security installed in our house just to give a sense of protection that our valuables at home will be protected even if we’re not home. There’s also a lot of benefit having this system in your home and could save you in a lot of ways.

I was sort of feeling sad to see that my technorati score is declining in almost all of my blogs and I can’t seem to understand it since I am receiving high traffic and I’ve been linked to with other blogs. I’m not sure what’s happening but I try not to be bothered about it, as long as I still have my pagerank I wouldn’t worry that much. Sometimes I want to ask if ranking and stats are really important in a blog, personally if I’m not monetizing my blog maybe I wouldn’t care much but I do care about the quality of blog I am contributing to cyberspace, I don’t want to be a clutter and I want my readers to like what they read and somehow learn from it. I know I may not be blogging with all my heart most of the time but mostly this is all me, my thoughts, my feelings and everything in between. I just want to feel special and not some just insignificant blogger. Am I alone with these thoughts or do you share my sentiments?

Do you remember the first days you had your internet? It was during college when I first started to go into cyberspace, I got so addicted with chatting and even went as far as dating a man from the chat room =) It took awhile before we had our own internet connection, so I settled going online at nearby internet cafe but after a long persuasion my parents finally agreed to have a DIAL Up ISP which was the only available internet access at that time. I am so glad that our internet connection evolved with time and now I am using wireless internet from our DSL provider. It’s amazing how wide the choices we have right now and sometimes choosing can be tough, that is why voice over internet protocol phone providers will assist you in comparing the most affordable and suitable internet connection for you. Now, you don’t need to burden yourself, let them tell you what you need and just follow their lead.

It’s been a busy week for me. There’s so much that I needed to finish and it seems my mind is wandering off somewhere. I feel much better now and although the summer heat can be intolerable and annoying too, I rather not complain. There’s just so many things that I am thankful for and eventhough I wasted so much time in traffic today because of the ridiculous re-routing in the road and goodness all those picket fences at Edsa can be such a pain, and with those island goodness lalong sumikip ang kalsada and to think MMDA are boasting how they got rid of the nuisance in the road now I consider them the ultimate nuisance. I am just annoyed and dismayed, and with Bayani Fernando’s HUGE tarpaulin along Edsa, did you see it? Too early for 2010, and what’s the sign below that poster means “Government Property” does it mean the taxpayers (US) paid for those tarpaulin for what??? I don’t usually rant about the politics in our country, it’s just a waste of time but today after being stuck with BF’s face for minutes I just can’t handle it anymore! The price of gas is way too much to be wasted on traffic and to think it’s not yet the rush hour...
Oh, Philippines what a dismay!

One of the latest crazes in the health and wellness industry is "superfruit" juices. It can be confusing to understand what they are and what they contain. Here are a few of the popular super fruit juices on the market and a little about them.

Goji

Goji juice is made from the goji berry, the fruit of the lycium barbarum plant. Goji has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Goji juice was largely brought to market by FreeLife International.

Mangosteen Juice

Mangosteen Juice is made from the mangosteen fruit, as its name suggests. Mangosteen fruit contains xanthones, a special class of antioxidants.

Noni

Noni juice is probably the oldest and best known super fruit juice. It comes largely from Hawaii and the Tahitian islands. Noni contains antioxidants and phytonutrients.

I was tagged by Sasha with this back to memory lane tag...

THINK BACK TO 4th year high school…

Let’s see how much you remember and how much you regret..

What section were you?
I was in section four, I think our school had nineteen section. (pretty big, right) but our section was such a blast... :)

Who were your seatmates?
Actually, I roam around hehe I don't like to sit in the front row so I'm usually with my friends at the back but my regular seatmates were Jheng (my left) Mila (right) mga kakopyahan ko at taga-dictate kapag recitation

Still remember your english teacher?
Oh yeah, Mrs.Moriones, she's always absent in our class so parang vacant namin ang time nya :)

What was your first class?
Physics, lagi kasi akong late dyan. :)

Made friends to the lower years?
Yes, the ones who belong to my organizations and sa student government.

How was your class schedule?
Great. Although I got an early class that I'm always late minsan nauuna pa ang assignment ko kesa sa akin kaya hindi alam ng teacher namin na late ako, thanks to Glenn ang uber dakila naming friend na laging maaga sa class. After two subjects, vacant na agad tapos English eh lagi ngang absent ang teacher namin dun' kaya straight to lunch na kami, then last subject ko ang PE kaya masaya, parang uwian na din agad.

Made any enemies?
Marami, I belong to a notorious Maldita group. Super taray ko nun'

Who was your favorite teacher(s)???
Nung 1st yr, my English prof, Mr.Catipon (may he rest in peace), 2nd yr, my adviser & English Teacher, Ms.Bilugan, would you believe na teacher din siya ng papa ko nung high school siya.. fave ko din ung sub teacher namin sa Biology si Ms.Ynte and Algebra Teacher, Ms.Zapanta parang barkada lang kasi namin sila. Nung 3rd yr, si Mrs.Tolentino, Geometry teacher ko, galing magturo... saka si Mrs.De Leon T-HE teacher, mommy tawag ko sa kanya kasi same surname kami. Nung fourth year, wala!

What sport did you play?
I played volleyball and chess.

Were you a party animal?
Yes. Lahat yata ng event noon kasali ako.

Were you well known in your school?
I think so.

SKIP CLASSES?
NOPE. I loved high school so much.

Did you get suspended/expelled?
Nope, kahit maldita ako good student pa rin ako with high grades. There was this instance lang na na-office ako because I was doing my assignment during the National Anthem hehe

Can you sing the alma mater?
NOPE :)

What was your favorite subject?
Math and English

Did you go to the dances?
YES.

Where did you go most often during breaks?
Tagaytay and Laguna

What did you do on the last day of school?
Autographs galore and picture taking... :)

I love my high school life, I am still friends with almost everyone especially with my bestfriend, inabayan ko na halos lahat at inaanak ko na mga anak nila...

I'm passing this fun tag to my new friends: Loannah, Eds, Mish and Angel
